Igår natt satt jag och grinade framför den här filmen, The Principal Story. Jag rekommenderar varmt att se hela programmet här. Det handlar om två rektorer i två olika , väldigt tuffa låg och mellanstadieskolor. Man får följa dem under ett skolår, de har bra lärare och dåliga lärare, duktiga elever och elever sm knappt kommer till skolan, barn till fängelsekunder och hemlösa. Ett barn dör, en lärare blir avskedad, vissa barn gör fantastiska framsteg, skoladministrationen lyssnar inte, pengar saknas, säkerheten är problematisk. Det är lika spännande som en actionrulle.
PBS Den statliga TV kanalen har mycket bra dokumentärer och nyhetsprogram. PBS och BBC World är bäst. Sedan tittar vi på HBO och Showtime för serier och filmer. Ibland står CNN på och TV France Monde. De andra 614 kanalerna skulle vi klara oss bra utan.
Dokumentärer är ibland mer spännande än den värsta thriller tycker jag. Visst får man lust och att jobba i skolan när man sett den här? Så hoppfull trots allt elände.
